10. Anaheim trades Mathieu Schneider and a 4th Round Draft Pick to Columbus for Nikolai Zherdev and Gilbert Brule.
If you get you get Mathieu Schneider, you keep Mathieu Schneider. Though it won’t happen, I’d love for this trade to occur since it would get Matty Schneidy out of the division. He has a knack for killing the Sharks.
9. Toronto trades Mats Sundin and Tomas Kaberle to Vancouver for Ryan Kesler, Kevin Bieksa and a 1st Round Draft Choice.
Come back in 10 years when Kesler and Bieksa are past their primes. Then, Toronto will offer insane contracts that no other team would ever be stupid enough to offer.
8. Ottawa trades Antoine Vermette, Wade Redden and a 3rd Round Draft Choice to Phoenix for Shane Doan, Ed Jovanovski and a 5th Round Draft Choice.
Anyone playing for Phoenix is defective. That’s why Ottawa will never make this trade.
7. New Jersey Devils trade Patrik Elias and Johnny Oduya to Carolina for Mike Commodore and a 1st Round Draft Choice.
I’m going to file this under “Will Never Happen.”
6. Atlanta trades Marian Hossa, Pascal Dupuis and Garnet Exelby to Pittsburgh for Darryl Sydor, Jordan Staal and 2nd Round Draft Pick.
Because I do like the Penguins, I think this one is a good trade. The Penguins receive three young, but mature, players. Atlanta, meanwhile, receives… well, who cares? Atlanta shouldn’t even have an NHL team.
5. The New York Rangers trade Jaromir Jagr and Marek Malik to Chicago for Tuomo Ruutu, a 1st Round Draft pick and a 3rd Round Draft pick.
Now, I totally agree with this one. Ruutu can be the spark plug needed to push the Rangers to the Stanley Cup. Jagr is nothing more than a cancer.
4. Dallas trades Jeff Halpern and a 2nd Round Draft Pick to Florida for Olli Jokinen.
Huh? Jeff Halpern? Who cares?!
3. San Jose trades Patrick Marleau to Toronto for Pavel Kubina and a 2nd Round Draft Pick.
Hmmm…. I agree. Marleau is softer than a puppy’s head and he needs to be shipped out. Now!
2. Montreal trades Michael Ryder, Cristobal Huet, Saku Koivu and a 3nd Round Draft Pick to Tampa Bay for Vincent Lecavalier, Vinny Prospal and Marc Denis.
Marc Denis is a trash goaltender who has no business being in the league. Hell, if David Aebischer can’t cut it then Denis DEFINITELY can’t either.

No, no, no. You and your editor should be fired for publishing this nonsense. Trading a 37 year old washed up goalie for a future goaltending phenom? I oughta slap you.
